Here’s a demo of Interactive tools created for a GP surgery

This page is a demonstration of patient tools created for a GP surgery. All tools work and function in the same way as the live versions. Customised features such as names, contact details, and more specific pathways based on business protocols and patient safety have been removed as this is a version created for showcasing.

Sick Note HelperCheck whether self-certification or a fit note may apply.
How it works: Enter the first day you were unwell and either your last day of sickness or select that you are still off sick. The tool counts the full period in calendar days, then explains whether self-certification would normally cover the absence or whether a fit note may be needed. Weekends and bank holidays are included when the length of sickness is worked out. Read the official fit note guidance.
Average Blood Pressure & Heart Rate CalculatorAverage multiple home blood pressure and pulse readings.
How it works: Add your morning and evening blood pressure readings for each day. You can add more days if you have a longer home-monitoring record. The tool calculates your average systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and heart rate, making a set of readings easier to review. NHS guidance says home readings of 135/85 mmHg or higher are usually considered high, although your clinician may give you an individual target. Read NHS guidance.

BMI & Healthy Weight CalculatorCalculate adult BMI and view the standard category.
How it works: Enter your age, sex, height and weight. The calculator works out your Body Mass Index and places the result into the standard adult BMI range, such as underweight, healthy weight, overweight or obese. It also shows the healthy-weight range for the height entered. BMI is a screening guide rather than a diagnosis and can be less useful during pregnancy or for people with a high amount of muscle.
Daily Calorie Needs CalculatorEstimate BMR and daily maintenance calories.
How it works: Enter your age, sex, height, weight and typical activity level. The calculator first estimates how much energy your body uses at rest, then adjusts that figure for your usual activity. The result gives an estimated number of calories needed each day to maintain your current weight. It is a general guide and does not replace personalised dietary advice.
Alcohol Units & Risk Level CalculatorAdd your typical drinks and total weekly units.
How it works: Add each type of alcoholic drink you would normally have in a week, including its strength, serving size and how many you drink. The tool combines them into a weekly unit total and gives a simple comparison with UK lower-risk drinking guidance. UK guidance advises men and women who drink most weeks not to regularly exceed 14 units a week, ideally spread over 3 or more days. Read NHS alcohol unit guidance.
Smoking Cost CalculatorSee the daily, yearly and longer-term financial cost.
How it works: Enter how many cigarettes you smoke each day, how many are in a pack and the price of that pack. The calculator shows the estimated amount spent per day, week, month and year. If you enter how many years you have smoked, it also estimates the total amount spent over that period. This helps turn a daily habit into a clear longer-term cost.
Daily Medication DiaryCreate a simple daily medication schedule to print or save.
How it works: Add each medication, its dose and the time or times it should be taken. You can add several medicines and more than one time for each medicine. When you are finished, select Generate my diary to create a clear daily schedule arranged by time, making it easier to see what needs to be taken and when. You can then print the completed diary if you want a paper copy.
